As Good As New

Meant to post this a lot earlier, but I've been slacking, oops.

To finish off my series of remaking ABBA's 1978 costumes, here is Benny's outfit.  I thought it would be pretty easy to make, but turns out it was the trickiest of all of them to make, just it didn't take as long to make because I didn't have any embroidery to do.

Here's a picture of my second attempt at this outfit:
And here is my new and improved one:
For a more detailed post on how I made the outfit, feel free to check out my sewing blog. :)

Happy 8th Birthday, Bjorn Uldollus

Today marks 8 years since I finished my Bjorn doll.  Happy birthday, Bjorn Uldollus!

For some reason out of all the dolls, Bjorn was the one who got the most worn out, and I am just so happy I was able to bring new life to the dolls, Bjorn in particular, by giving them new bodies with no rips and tears.  Here's hoping my dolls will be able to make it for at least another 8 years!!

The King Has Lost His Crown

I recently finished Bjorn's outfit from the 1978 costumes that I've been working on recreating.  Compared to the second version of the outfit (I unfortunately have no pictures of the first version, probably for a good reason, haha), the new one came out amazing, especially the details on the front of the jacket.  Sewing on beads definitely looks a lot better than the glued on sequins.

Honestly, I'm not 100% happy with the end result, mostly because I have no good, close up pictures of all the details. So I kinda had to make up the design on his belt....  But it's not bad. :3
