About the ABBA Fan

So... where to start?  My name's Becky!  I'm a teen girl from the United States and I'm an ABBA fan.  I have been since back in 2010 when I first saw the Olivia Newton-John special with Andy Gibb and ABBA.

Though my collection is kinda small, I'm very fond of all my CDs and Records, as well as my most prized possessions: ABBA's autographs!  (Thank you Gorel!!)

Among my passions are drawing and sewing.  You can view my sewing blog by clicking here and my drawing blog here!  My BFF and I also co-run this ABBA blog for teens, ABBA4Teens, which you can check out if you'd like.

In 2013, I published my first book The Story of ABBA for Young Readers, a book that tells the tale of ABBA in a childish way along with illustrations drawn by me. I was quite young when I published it, so I published a 2nd edition of the book with new illustrations and updated text in 2016.  Since I love writing, my goal someday is to publish my own original stories, as well.

Beside occasionally being mentioned on ABBA sites and in one edition of the ABBA Intermezzo magazine, I'm just little old me.  The only real fame I've ever had, I guess, would be that time I won 4th place in a programming contest.

Besides ABBA, I'm very into other fandoms as well, like Doctor Who and I Love Lucy.  If you've checked out my other blogs that I linked to, you'll see what I mean.

Anyways, I really hope you enjoy your stay and here's a picture of my ABBA dolls and collection for you guys to enjoy! ^^

  1. I have seen (and loved) your ABBA animations in the lego, and by chance I would like to make available the archive of your ABBA constructions, please <3
    Thank you!

    1. Aw thanks so much! :D I don't think I could make those available, I'm sorry. The files are too large to put up anywhere and I don't know if I'd want to put them up, haha.

    5. Very nice! :D

If you want to get more customization in LEGO Digital Designer, you can go to the "view" tab in the top left (to the right of "file" and "edit") and then roll over "New Themes" and select "LDD Extended". You can then customize the colors of each brick and have a larger selection of decals for the minfigures' faces and bodies. :)

How do you make a beautiful stage?

    1. Some of the stages I used in my videos I build myself very simple using large bricks and building them up until I got the height I wanted, and then building up the walls, but I also used a stage from one of LDD's templates that was in one of the early versions of LDD. :)

  5. Hi from an equally ardent ABBA fan (been one since 1975). Congratulations on a great site. One question about your book: did you have to ask ABBA's permission to write about them due to copyright reasons?

    1. Hi! Apologies for not replying sooner - been having an issue with blogger not sending me notifications on comments!

If I remember correctly, I didn't really have to ask, but I did write to Gorel Hanser just to confirm and she said it's alright as long as I don't use their official logo. :)

Please keep your comments related to the blog's content. For example, I run multiple blogs and don't particularly want comments that have to do with one of my other blogs on a blog that has nothing really to do with the other. I might share posts because they're all my blogs, but please, keep your comments related. :)

Please don't be surprised if I don't publish your comments right away! I see every comment and will always get to them as soon as possible, just not all the time. I'm a busy person when I'm not blogging. ;)
