About the ABBA Fan

So... where to start?  My name's Becky!  I'm a young ABBA fan from the United States, and I have been obsessed with our favorite Swedish foursome since the summer of 2010 when I first saw clips of the Olivia Newton-John special with Andy Gibb and ABBA on YouTube.

Among my passions are drawing and sewing, and as you can probably guess, I like to sew and draw a lot of ABBA related things.  On my sewing blog, which you can find here, I sometimes like to go into more detail on my sewing projects, most of which are ABBA costume recreations in miniature.  I also enjoy collecting ABBA memorabilia every once in a while, and though my collection is on the smaller size, I love what I have and will always be forever grateful to Gorel Hanser for helping me achieve my dream of having all four ABBA members' autographs.

In 2013, I published my first book The Story of ABBA for Young Readers, a book that tells the tale of ABBA in a child friendly way along with illustrations drawn by me. I was quite young when I published it, so I published a 2nd edition of the book with new illustrations and updated text in 2016.  And with the release of ABBA's new album Voyage, I gave my book an update with new illustrations and text, and I published a coloring book companion.  You can find more about my books here. :)

Anyways, I really hope you enjoy your stay and here's a picture of my ABBA dolls and some of my collection from a few years ago for you guys to enjoy! ^^

  1. I have seen (and loved) your ABBA animations in the lego, and by chance I would like to make available the archive of your ABBA constructions, please <3
    Thank you!

    1. Aw thanks so much! :D I don't think I could make those available, I'm sorry. The files are too large to put up anywhere and I don't know if I'd want to put them up, haha.

    5. Very nice! :D

If you want to get more customization in LEGO Digital Designer, you can go to the "view" tab in the top left (to the right of "file" and "edit") and then roll over "New Themes" and select "LDD Extended". You can then customize the colors of each brick and have a larger selection of decals for the minfigures' faces and bodies. :)

  2. Oh! Thank you!
How do you make a beautiful stage?

    1. Some of the stages I used in my videos I build myself very simple using large bricks and building them up until I got the height I wanted, and then building up the walls, but I also used a stage from one of LDD's templates that was in one of the early versions of LDD. :)

  5. Hi from an equally ardent ABBA fan (been one since 1975). Congratulations on a great site. One question about your book: did you have to ask ABBA's permission to write about them due to copyright reasons?

    1. Hi! Apologies for not replying sooner - been having an issue with blogger not sending me notifications on comments!

If I remember correctly, I didn't really have to ask, but I did write to Gorel Hanser just to confirm and she said it's alright as long as I don't use their official logo. :)

  6. I was a young teen when Abba hit the charts. Sort of lost interest in them for a few years after the stopped performing. Now I miss them more than anything else. Does anyone know of a place where people like me congregate, I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I think if your channel was still alive, you would be in 20K, never tried to contact youtube to see if you could get your channel back? there are tutorials on YouTube:^ I can't believe they help more maybe?

    3. Aw thank you. Unfortunately the only way to attempt to get my channel back would be to counter the strike against me, but it's not that easy because if I do that, the company that did it can have legal action against me if I'm wrong, so it's not really worth it.

Ah, I see!, really good compared to the old ones, I think they're doing it for some reason in particular, with the release of Dancing Queen 4k I think the team perked up :D And I understand, I think that was already being planned a while ago, I looked for his channel on Wayback machine, I got frustrated because I didn't find frida hair or agnetha hair on it, I was really sad, he used to do this job, let us see the video, today he just wants to frustrate us , a clip I hope to be remastered is One Of Us, and I'm so glad they're dedicating these gifts to us.

Hi becky, I have a doubt, when you get 3 strikes all the accounts associated with which you took 3 are closed? if you can answer me as soon as possible I would appreciate it :D

    8. I was a bit confused about this as well at first, no worries! So basically if your YouTube Channel gets 3 strikes, that youtube channel and any other channels you created under that same account get deleted. Luckily it is only limited to YouTube and not your entire google account, but you are also then not allowed to create a new YouTube channel, unless you did it with a whole new google account.

Please keep your comments related to the blog's content. For example, I run multiple blogs and don't particularly want comments that have to do with one of my other blogs on a blog that has nothing really to do with the other. I might share posts because they're all my blogs, but please, keep your comments related. :)

Please don't be surprised if I don't publish your comments right away! I see every comment and will always get to them as soon as possible, just not all the time. I'm a busy person when I'm not blogging. ;)
